WHAT RIDING EXPERIENCE HAVE YOU GOT: I have 3 bikes – KTM990, Ducati 749S & Harley FatBoy 1584cc – I do track days, commute by bike & do road trips at every opportunity. I’ve circumnavigated South Africa and been down to the end of Die Hel (twice) on the Harley.
WHAT IS THE FURTHEREST YOU HAVE RIDDEN IN ONE DAY: Cape Town to Keetmanshoop 1000Km
WHAT ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLE TRAVEL HAVE YOU DONE ACROSS THE SA BORDERS: I rode to Angola border on the Harley & did a road trip on my own for 6 weeks.
WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO BOOK ON THE CAPE TO CAIRO 2011: Saw it advertised in the SA Bike magazine & thought it would be a pleasure to join a tour like this where someone has taken the time to plan it and organize it.
WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL FEELINGS ABOUT THE LIFE CHANGING UNDERTAKING YOU ARE EMBARKING ON: Should be a trip of a lifetime.
WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS: Just looking forward to the experience to enjoy the ride. I have no special expectations.
WHAT DO YOU FEAR THE MOST AND WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING FROM THIS EXPERIENCE: Don’t look forward to having hassles with border crossings, but expect that it will be handled in the best possible manner.
